Jewelry making---how to make rope circling earrings

Mostly, the earrings you can see or buy from wholesale beading supplies are made of beads and the design are universally earring pendants or earring settings. Such kind of earrings are common and you can DIY them as you like. However, it doesn’t make any difference with the earrings you buy from shops. Do you want to have a change and make something difference to your jewelry design? This article will teach you how to make a pair of earrings with rope and beads. Before the earring making lesson, you should get the following things prepared: a pair of hooks for you to wear the earrings on ears, ropes and the color would be your decision, glue and cheap glass bead, all you can buy from any jewelry supplies.

Step 1, have one rope of enough length go across the hook, the portion should be 1:5, left and right side.

Step 2, tie a knot with both side of the ropes. Make the short side as the center, do an oblique knot like the picture do, namely to go across the center point and tie tightly.

Step 3, do the oblique knot till the short side coming to the end. Tie with the short rope going across the long one two times. Remember to leave some length for the short rope for next step.

Step 4, string the one of the bead you choose to the long rope, then tie a knot between the bead with left and right rope, just like what you did in step3.

Step 5, roll the bead with the knitted rope so that the bead can be surrounded with the bead layer by layer. Glue the kitted rope in the end. Then the earring is not boring with just bead, but also with rolling ropes, don’t you think it has a flavor of ethnic jewelry?
